Who are we?

Welcome to the Priorat rural guesthouse association website.

Our aim is to provide you with a useful and practical tool for discovering the rural tourism options the Priorat region has to offer. The 31 establishments that form our association are working to vitalise quality rural tourism that is actively linked to the area.

We would like this portal to serve as a means for getting to know our region and everything you can find here and what we have to offer visitors.

Visiting Priorat is, above all, venturing into a unique landscape and a natural environment that harmoniously combines some of Catalonia's best preserved natural areas, such as the Montsant Nature Reserve and the Llaberia mountain range, with cultivated land divided up by vineyards and olive trees reflecting the work the local people have dedicated themselves to for centuries (slopes and terraces, stone walls, farmhouses and chapels). The fruits of such labour being extraordinary wines and a unique olive oil.

Villages on hilltops and others pegged to the sides of mountain passes are a picture of hospitality. In just about all of them you'll find a rural guest house, a small hotel, and a bed and breakfast where we'll make you feel right at home. In the small restaurants you can try local dishes and maybe even one of the bolder culinary proposals on offer. You'll discover the secrets of our denomination of origin wines (Priorat and Montsant) with a visit to the vineyards and wine cellars where you can attend a guided wine tasting. You'll uncover the world of olive oil with the Siurana denomination of origin.

Visiting Priorat means peacefully discovering its trails, footpaths and byways which invite you to take an unhurried walk and fully enjoy the most of what our region has to offer you: nature and culture.
